Body Image for Kids (and the Grownups Who Love Them)
Talking about body image can feel hard, but it doesn’t have to be! Parents, caregivers, and teachers all want their kids to have a healthy sense of self-esteem and self-worth but often feel awkward, uncomfortable, or unsure when it comes to talking about body image. Many, if not most, adults struggle with body image in some way themselves.
This workshop will give you tools, language, and confidence for instilling positive body image in young children. We’ll use three picture books to discuss key body image messages. Participants will reflect on whether and how these messages have impacted their own body image growing up, and how to cultivate body esteem in their kids. If you are a parent, caregiver, or teacher of kids age 1-10, this workshop is for you!
* Please note that this class is for adults. If you are interested in other classes your child can participate in, let’s talk!
